Join Edina Reads and the Edina Historical Society to hear author Chad Montrie, the author of Whiteness in Plain View: A History of Racial Exclusion in Minnesota.
Chad will discuss his book at the Edina History Museum in the Terrace Room. His book examines the history and legacies of racial disparities in Minnesota, delving into how Minnesota’s legacy of racial exclusion has been interwoven into the state’s contemporary politics, economy, and culture.
Whiteness in Plain View will be available for sale at the event; attendees will have the opportunity to meet the author.
Chad is a professor in the History Department at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and is an expert of American Social, Environmental, and Labor History.
